Safe Parish Certification for School Volunteers

PLEASE NOTE: These instructions are for school volunteers only. School employees (direct or contracted) need different instructions and should contact Angie Mackell in the parish office for that information.

Thank you so much for volunteering at Little Flower School! You are helping to make a difference in the lives of our students.

The Archdiocese of Indianapolis requires all those who volunteer with children to complete a background check and Safe Parish training. The certification is good for 5 years, so once you have finished, you won’t have to do it again for the next 5 years. Please complete this as soon as possible. You cannot begin your volunteer tasks until we have received your background check results.

THE TRAINING AND BACKGROUND CHECK WILL BE QUICKER AND EASIER IF YOU READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING.

The program takes approximately one hour to complete, but it is structured such that you can stop at any point and go back and pick up where you left off. You MUST answer all questions correctly for certification. If you get a question wrong, you may simply go back and answer it again until it is correct. Please refer to the Registration Guide (click here) for instructions to register for Safe Parish. In step #2, please enter Archindy2021 for the Passcode/Organization Code. Under the section Parish/Location and Roles, please choose the following:
City: Indianapolis
Parish/Location: St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus (Little Flower) Church and School
Role: Volunteer.

Once you have registered, you will be directed to submit information for your background check. Please complete all information. The link to the program is www.archindysafeparish.org

Questions about the Safe Parish training or background check should be directed to Angie Mackell in the parish office 317-357-8352 ext 102 or amackell@littleflowerparish.org.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to volunteer!
