Mrs. Waterman's Classroom Page

Welcome!

Hi! I'm Mrs. Waterman!  I am so excited to be at Little Flower, and to be your child's kindergarten teacher.  I have been teaching for 24 years in the PK-3 grades, as well as adult English as a New Language/U.S. Citizenship.  I am originally from Detroit, MI (go Lions!!),  but I've lived in Indiana for 25 years.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), and a Master's of Education from Mary Baldwin College in Virginia.

I have four young adult children, a daughter who is a teacher and literacy coach at St. Philip Neri, a son who is an officer and pilot in the Air Force, a daughter who is an officer in the Army in field artillery, and my youngest is a junior at the University of Wisconsin.  I have been married for 33 years to my husband, Jeff.  We have two rescued dachshunds, Woody and Lucy. My favorite quote is, "Do small things with great love," by St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. I love reading children's books aloud with fun and expression, and my favorites to read are the Mo Willems books featuring Elephant and Piggie, or the pigeon. I can't wait to read these stories and more to your child this year in kindergarten!!
