Hello and welcome, my name is Megan Stayton.  This will be my 6th year teaching first grade. I am excited to meet all my new students and get to teach them all the fun things I have been planning over the summer.

First grade is an exciting year because it is super easy to see learning happen.  Your child will come home daily telling you all sorts of stories, something new that they learned, what an amazing friend they were today, an amazing new friend that they met, or that they are interested in a new topic.  I love seeing the light bulb click on when they finally get a new concept, or when they really are passionate about what they are telling/teaching me. Everyday is a new and exciting time in first.

Family:

Married for 23 years.  I have 4 children 22 (2nd year Radiology program at IUPUI), 18 (Electrician training), 15 (10th) and 13 (7th).  I have 2 dogs, 1 cat and a bearded dragon.

6 years in 1st grade
