WELCOME to Mrs. Echegaray's 3-5 Math

In Mrs. Echegaray's math class you can expect:

  • differentiated lessons to meet the needs of each child

  • a hands-on approach using manipulatives to develop the concrete meaning of math concepts

  • Family: Married (2014) with 3 kids (3rd, 1st, & Miss Julie's)
  • Home Parish/Church: Little Flower since 1996

Education: 

  • Grade Schools: IPS 82, Little Flower, Hawthorne Elementary, and Raymond Park Middle School
  • High School: Scecina Memorial High School
  • Undergraduate: Trine University (formally Tri-State University), B.S. in Civil Engineering (2011)
  • Transition to Teaching Certification: Indiana Wesleyan University (2015)
  • Masters: Indiana Wesleyan, Masters in School Administration (2020)

Favorites:

  • Subject: math
  • Food: Reese's, coffee, peanut butter, and fruit
  • Stores: Target, Starbucks, Michael's, and IKEA
  • Hobbies: softball, basketball, and being outdoors. 

Teaching Experience: 

  • 9th year teaching at Little Flower
  • Grades Taught: 2nd, 3rd, 4th (student teaching), & 5th 
  • Subjects Taught: All of them 
  • 7th year as a 5th-grade homeroom and math teacher 

Future Aspirations: becoming a school principal and math presenter
